Yesterday, Monday
May 3, 2004, Wanda and Her Granddaughter Angel Woodmansee, Grandson Brandon
Marcos Filos Baker, and Greatnephews Dillion and Devon Moore, were involved
in an accident on Hwy 603. The Lincoln TownCar is really messed up! Airbags
came out and blew up the cellphone out of the cradle, banged up Angel's
upper body area and she was rushed in an ambulance to the Hospital. After
the car was towed away, and I gave all the authorities the information
they needed, they went to the hospital where the rest of us were checked
out. Mostly bumps and bruises on all. Thank you Jesus! Wanda has rested
in bed most of Tuesday, May 4. Still light headed and achey wanted to
contact all for prayer that God has His hands on getting another vehicle
for transportation, and the other part pays for all Medical bills for
all concerned. All are very happy to be alive. and Praise God for His
Will being done on earth as it is in Heaven! They are running Head on
with the devil. continue to pray a hedge of protection around them? So
much ministry for the rest of the year and God is in control! Amen, Amen!!!
Emmett is working with Caffey Inc this week so Pray Wanda
can open containers and pour water etc with her swollen hands.
2003 News
Saturday,
August 2
We woke up at 5:00 am and were back on the road by 6:00 am. Went to
Vicksburg, MS and visited with our friend, Father Charles Boykins, from
St. Mary Catholic Church. We had breakfast at Shoneys and gave him one
of our new CD's.
WE left Vicksburg, MS about 8:00 am. We made a few phone calls to touch
base with some people. By 12:00 noon we were about 40 miles from Memphis.
by 6:20 pm we arrived at Wayne and Ellen Wolf's house in Cahokia, Illinois.
Wayne and Ellen were out of town. They left a key for Emmett and Wanda.
Got
a great night's sleep.
Friday,
August 1
Emmett did not work this day. We woke up at 6:00 am and read God's Word.
Showered ate breakfast talked with Judy's Mom. Began making calls to
get loans for car to pay for the transmission. Everything looked good
according to Harrison Finance. Went to WOSM Checked for lost keyboard
stand, not there! Met Allen Frazier at the transmission place and gave
him a
check. We prayed and Wanda proceeded in a homeward bound direction. Emmett
went back to WOSM to talk to Noah the Radio announcer who said he thought
the
keyboard stand was there. . But to no avail! Emmett Believes at this
point that the keyboard stand must be at Faith Assembly Of God Church
in Kiln.
Since Emmett did sing there the opening day for Vacation Bible School.
Emmett proceeded towards home. Wanda called Emmett and informed him of
a nail in one of the tires. She noticed it when she was getting gas.
Wanda said I believe God wants us to go to Sams to get our tire fixed..
Emmett got there first and established a place in line. Wanda asked Emmet
to
price new tires. The tire man said over $480 for a new set. We didn't
have
that kind of money. Emmett asked him to just fix the tire. He said the
tire could not be fixed. Wanda asked how much for one new tire or can
he just put some gum in it so they could get on the road! ;o)
The manager came by and said we only have blackwall tires. He saw we
had white walls on the Car. They checked the tread and the manager said
give her four new tires at 100% off. it costs us about $44 for 4 new
tires with a 6-year warranty, road hazard, anf free rotation. Praise the
Lord! While
they were putting the tires on Emmett was just fooling around with a
sams guitar. He was singing the songs the Lord had given to him and a
man
and his son were ministered to by the Holy Spirit. Emmett gave the man
a CD
"Songs from the Real King" The man gave Em a love offering for
the CD.
Finally Emmett and Wanda went home. All we needed to go to Harrison
Finance company to get the loan finalized was our title for our car.
Harrison finance said they could not do anything without the title. Emmett
and Wanda looked and looked and looked. We called the transmission place
and told the man who we gave him our check to please not cash it until
we called him again. It was for almost $2000. Allen Frazier from the transmission
place told Emmett
it looks like the devil is trying to discredit you. Lets pray. Emmett
and
Allen prayed. At the same time Wanda heard God say Go to the title
place and order you another title. When Emmett got off the phone with
Allen, we
jumped in the car - at this time it was about 4:00 p.m. On the Way to
the
title place Harrison Finance calls and says why don't you go to the title
place and order you another title and bring me that. They went on with
the
form to order another title and went on with the financing. We were finished
there about 5:20 pm and had to get to the bank before 5:30 to deposit
it! Emmett ran out to the car at 5:28 pm to deposit the check and at the
same time Wanda was calling Allen Frazier to tell him he can deposit the
check. . We received a call at 5:40 from Allen Frazier telling us he heard
our
voice on the answer maching and ran out to beat the bank from closing
and made it just in time before the teller closed the drive-thru window.
God is never early, never late, always on time! We left directly after
the
bank deposit and on our way to Cahokia, Illinois. We made it as far at
Jackson, Mississippi to sleep with a friend of ours. Dinner was waiting
for us.
We had a pleasant dinner time with the family. Emmett ministered with
his
new Omni Chord. The house was very old and they had just moved in. It
was
full of spirits. We pulled out the oil and began to anoint the house with
oil from the attic to the basement. It was about 12:00 midnight before
we were finished. The couple wanted us to sleep in their bedroom because
an
old woman's spirit would visit them everynight. We slept like babies and
had
no visititation except The Holy Spirit and angels guarding as we rested.

at the Warehouse Property for Caffey, Inc.. Wanda
was home Cleaning house and working on CD's. Emmett worked extra hours
this day and someone gave him a couple of bikes.
This weekend, we are leaving for Cahokia, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri.
The transmission has gone out in our car. We can't understand why? There
is only over 230,000 miles on our car from all the traveling! Dan's Auto
Transmissions called and it is going to cost a little under $2000 to get
it fixed. We know our God, and He has blessed us with our car, so we are
praying that the finances come together so our car will be ready for Thursday
evening.
We had a wonderful week last week. We had 9 children in our home all week
going to Vacation Bible School. They all were blessed. Of course the devil

not be able to work at his usual day job.
Wednesday, June 18
Our sixth CD project "Filling Me Softly" is doing well. We do not know
when it will be finished. We are taking our time with this one! Mark McCraw
from Audio Mark Studios has worked really hard on this project. We will
let you know the titles of the songs, and when it will be released, in
the very near future!
Wednesday, May 7
This past Friday, we and some other people had a bake sale, in front of
Wal-Mart in Waveland, Mississippi, to help children who cannot go to camp.
We only made $228. That will only take two children. We have about 10
children in our church (First Assembly of God in Waveland) who want to
go to camp. The families in our church are not rich. Anything extra is
such a big strain. There are a few people who do not go to church whose
children want to go too. We would love to be able to invite them to camp
too! Wal-Mart has a grant that we are praying will double the money soon;
the monies have to be in to the camp by May 15. The camp is from June
30 through July 3. We are going to volunteer as counselors. Please keep
this issue in your prayers. This is an outreach ministry that is so important.
How else are we going to reach children unless we show them we really
care???
Saturday, we worked most of the day cleaning house. But living in such
a small area doesn't help much!
Sunday was Mothers' Day. Wanda's youngest daughter Maria, her husband
Brian, and 3 grandchildren, Kimberly, Brandon, and David, came to church
with us. They took us out to eat Chinese food after church! We had a blessed
time.
We went to Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamondhead, Mississippi
to minister to the mothers who do not get to go home for whatever reason...
and of course some of the men come out too to hear us sing.
Sunday night, we ate dinner at Tina's (Wanda's oldest daughter) house.
Tina, her wonderful husband Tom, and two grandchildren, Chaunce and Angel,
were there. We have another granddaughter, Ashleigh, but she was away
for the day. They barbecued steaks, and we swam in their pool. It was
a great day. Even Wanda's son Tommy called from Tennessee where he lives
at this time.
Wednesday, May 7
Last night, we went to Audio Mark Studios and finished laying the music
track of our 6th CD "Filling Me Softly"! Now we just have to get there
to lay the lyrics track! God has a plan.
On Wednesday, May 21, AFR (the nationwide American Family Radio network)
will begin a radiothon. Wanda will be at WAOY, the AFR station in Gulfport,
Mississippi, working the telephones, and doing whatever else may be helpful.
Wanda can only volunteer one day of this radiothon, though, because both
of us will be leaving for San Antonio, Texas for ministry May 22-25.
Friday, May 2
Today, we went to Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamondhead, Mississippi.
They had a special day to thank the volunteers who come and minister there.
It was very nice. Emmett sang and ministered again as usual.
Thursday, May 1
Our schedule is so busy we can not get back to Audio Mark Studios again
to work on our new CD until next Tuesday. The name of the new CD is "Filling
me Softly."
Our pastor was teaching on outreach and witnessing last night, and Emmett
wrote a new song "Over and Over" in the service. Now he's polishing it
up!
Wednesday, April 30
The recording time went well last night! We got down 4 music tracks. Praise
the Lord. God is so good! We are praying for more time Thursday night
to get a few more down. Looks like there will be 12 songs on this next
CD. Please keep us in prayer?
Saturday, April 26
Tuesday, April 29, we are recording a new CD at Audio Mark studios. Pray
we can get all the music down?
Oh! We have a jungle again this year. Almost 7 years in this yard, and
we have been given lawn mowers that come into our yard and die. Someone
passed by - maybe last year or the year before - and tooted their horn
and asked Wanda if we fix lawn mowers. She just responded NO! This is
where they come to die!
If anyone knows someone who has a good riding lawn mower who may have
had a big yard and now is moving into apartments and doesn't need a riding
mower anymore, please let them know about us? We are desperate. Or does
anyone have room for two people to move in with them??? 'Cause soon our
yard is going to be so overgrown we won't be able to get in it!
Tuesday, April 22
Emmett has scheduled to attend a Promise Keepers retreat on June 6, 7,
and 8. Please keep him in your prayers!
Monday, April 21
Friday, we worked on 4 old push mowers to get them running. Well, one
tried to go, but only for a second. So Easter Sunday, we had a jungle
in our yard. It didn't matter. We had our two faviorite nephews sleep
with us Friday night.
Saturday, Emmett went to our church to help out cleaning up and painting.
We went to a friend's house for lunch, to celebrate our return to the
USA. Several other people were there. We had a great time. Didn't leave
from there until 8:00 pm.
Wanda woke up Saturday night with a dry hurting throat, and by time for
church Sunday morning, she was burning up with fever. Emmett went to church
and had everyone pray for her. Monday, we went to see the doctor. He gave
Wanda a shot and some antibiotics. She is sweating out all the yuck in
her body! Her throat really hurts - she can't eat anything because of
the pain. Emmett went to work to give her some quiet time.
Friday, April 18
Back from Scotland Monday night - actually Tuesday at 1 am. We slept for
a little while, but we were awakened very early by one of our daughters,
so we just got up and went to New Orleans, to stay at a friend's house
for the night, to be close to where we would be ministering on Wednesday
- specifically, Believer's Life Christian Academy in Harvey, Louisiana,
where on Wednesday morning at 9:30, we took part in a chapel service.
We were received by about 200 children from pre-kindergarten through 7th
grade. We gave some testimony of what happened to us in Scotland, and
sang some songs to the children. They really listened to what we had to
say. They were so excited about the upcoming Easter holiday coming soon,
but they truly listened. We had an altar call, and about 80 of the 200
came up to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. WOW!! God
is so good. We were going on God's strength when we went.
Emmett took off the whole week to tie up some loose ends, help do laundry,
and find a lawn mower to cut the grass (3 acres) before the weekend. He
Got AAA to come and pull Wanda's Lincoln out of the hole she put it in
before she followed him to Scotland. We only have about $900 more in bills
to be paid off for this month, and God is putting together the money.
What an awesome God We serve!!!! Thank you all for all your prayers and
support!
Thursday and the jet lag was still with us! It was Grandparents' Day,
and we went to school and had lunch with Chaunce and Kimberly, two of
our grandchildren.
In March and April, Emmett and Wanda spent 6 weeks in Scotland. Read about
it on the Scotland 2003 diary page.
Thursday, March 6
Emmett leaves tomorrow for Scotland. Wanda will follow him on Monday,
March 17, and we will both be gone until Monday, April 14. They're planning
some church ministry for us - concerts in the churches there. We do not
have an itinerary yet. We will try to send a news update for the Web site
at least once a week. Just our traveling to Scotland should be interesting,
since we are traveling alone this time - not in a team! Someone paid for
our flight! We are still in need for the household bills. But we are at
peace that God will supply! God richly bless you for your faithfulness!
(Editor's note: Please see the support page
for information about how to make a donation to Emmett's and Wanda's ministry.)
